Registered Psychologist CAP #P7344 | Supervised by Brittany Davies

I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist with a deep commitment to supporting children, youth, adults, and families across a range of emotional, developmental, and relational challenges. I hold a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta, specializing in Elementary and Special Education, and a Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.

My clinical approach is rooted in developmental and attachment-based theory, with a strong focus on fostering connection—both within the therapeutic relationship and within clients’ broader relational systems. I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities, including play-based interventions, client-centred therapy, narrative therapy, and family systems approaches, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of the individual or family. My work is grounded in evidence-informed practices and delivered through a warm, collaborative lens.

With over 13 years of experience in both public and alternative education settings, I bring extensive knowledge in supporting children and adolescents with complex social-emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs. I work with both neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals and offer a strengths-based, individualized approach to care.

In addition to my work with children and families, I also support adults navigating a variety of life transitions. I have a particular interest in working with women experiencing fertility-related challenges and strive to provide a compassionate, client-centred space for exploring the emotional impacts of that journey. I aim to create a therapeutic environment that is safe, inclusive, and respectful—where clients feel seen, heard, and supported.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I’m married to Derek Hutchins, an Advanced Care Paramedic and owner of Restore Wellness. Our shared passion for supporting and caring for others is what brought us together, and continues to shape both our personal and professional lives. I’m also a mom to a lively and curious toddler, who gives me a daily, firsthand view of child development through the lens of motherhood—an experience that has both deepened and enriched my work. Of course, I can't forget our “firstborn,” our French Bulldog, Otis, who in his own way helped prepare us for parenthood long before our son arrived.

I’m an energetic and creative person who loves bringing people together—whether that’s through shared meals, meaningful conversation, or moments of laughter. I take great joy in hosting gatherings where the napkins match the theme, and no detail goes unnoticed. I also have a love for fashion, staying current with trends (and enjoying the shopping that comes with it). A good cup of coffee, time by the ocean, sunshine, and being with family are a few of my favourite things.
