Kyla Clevette

 (She/her)

Intern Therapist (Master’s level student counsellor) - Under the supervision of Candice Mann.

Hi there, I’m Kyla. I am a Master of Counselling student through Wilfrid Laurier University. I strive to offer a strengths-based, client-centred approach to counselling that honours your experiences, values, and goals. Whether you are navigating grief or infertility, struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, or relationships, managing ADHD, or facing women’s health-related challenges, I am here to support you in finding clarity, confidence, and meaningful change. Together, we focus not only on what feels difficult, but also on the strengths, resilience, and insight you already bring into the therapy space.

I believe counselling works best as a collaborative process, where you are the expert in your own life and I walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and practical support. My approach is creative and flexible, drawing on evidence-based strategies while adapting them to fit your unique needs and circumstances. We work at your pace, with sessions guided by what feels most important to you, helping you move through overwhelm, quiet self-criticism, strengthen relationships, and build a more grounded sense of self.

I focus on creating a therapeutic relationship that feels safe and genuine—one where you feel heard, supported, and capable of creating lasting and meaningful change in your life.

I was born and raised in Red Deer, am married to a teacher and have spent 10 years working as a school counsellor and teacher. While I have no children of my own, I feel very privileged to have supported and connected with kids of all ages through varied youth work over the past 20 years. I enjoy crafting, reading, taking in baseball games and travelling. On my bucket list is learning Spanish fluently and mastering the art of baking expertly.I look forward to connecting with you!
